Dear Readers:
I wanted to start a magazine whose purpose was to have in one place downtown writers who were working outside the traditional narrative format. Robert Mueller’s introduction ponders what these writers have achieved and elaborates further on some of the related aesthetics. The contributing writers are:
Tom Savage
Karin Randolph
Karl Roulston
Andy Comess
Katrinka Moore
Carol Novack
Eric Goddard-Scovel
Bob Heman
Raphael Moser
Mitch Corber
I want to thank everyone, the writers, especially Robert Mueller for his help with putting this together, Bruce Weber for the cover and Bob Heman for his watchful eye as we stumble alone on the first edition. And Mitch Corber for his steady hand on the video camera. He and I are producing a show of the assembling of this magazine and readings by the contributors to be shown on the Poetry Thin Air Cable Show later this summer. And Eric Goddard-Scovel for putting this magazine on the Internet.
There will be two more editions in 2010, one in early fall and the other before the end of this year. It has been a wonderfully enjoyable experience for me and I hope for everyone else.
